Book Title Feedback

Recommended Posts

Ruben Ugarte

I'm working on my first book proposal and I'm struggling to find a book title that is contrarian and provocative. My current title and subtitle are as follows:

Data Goldmine: Finding the Hidden Opportunities in Your Data Haystack
A Playbook for Generating Actionable Insights from Your Data Through Analytics

I want to focus on what executives need to know in terms of strategy, implementation and data adoption and how to get actionable insights out of their data.

Thanks for any feedback or comments.

I wouldn't fret about it too much. Publishers tend to change titles anyway. They did with two of my commercially published books. But theirs was better than mine, so it worked out okay.

@Praveen thanks for the ideas. I like the metaphors and I'll see if I can incorporate some of them.

@Linda Henman thanks for the feedback. I'll choose something that is good enough and work on the remainder of the proposal.

You could play off the phrase: “Hidden in Plain Sight”

@Richard Citrin @Kim Wilkerson thanks for the ideas! I'll try and work them into the title or use them in other parts of the proposal itself.
