Alan, I used to have a keynote entitled "Don't Hire Squirrels." The meeting planner asked if I ever worried about offending people who like squirrels. I wanted to mention that those people defend squirrels because they share a common ancestor.

Another HR person told me I couldn't give away latest book to her audience because the title suggests the reader "kill sacred cows." She wasn't defending cows. She just thought it might be a trigger phrase for anyone concerned about world peace! I bowed out.
